79th Venice International Film Festival List of winners !

After ten days of dazzling performances, glamorous red-carpet looks and press conferences to discuss the participating films, the 79th Venice International Film Festival - one of the world's most important film festivals - came to an end with awards at the Sala Grande. The main jury, chaired by Julianne Moore, presented the Golden Lion, along with a host of other awards within the Sala Grande.

The following are the winners of the Festival Awards: 

1- Competing Film Awards, Golden Lion for:

  • Best film:All the Beauty and the Bloodshed Laura Poitras 
  • Grand Jury Prize: Saint Omer Alice Diop Silver 
  • Lion Award for Best Director: Bones and All Luca Guadagnino 
  • Special Jury Prize: Jaafar Banahi
  •  Best Screenplay: The Banshees of Inisherin Martin McDonagh
  • Volpi Cup for Best Actress: Cate Blanchett 
  • Volpi Cup for Best Actor: Colin Farrell 
  •  Best Young Actor: Bones and All, Taylor Russell

2- Horizons Awards

  • Best Film: World War III Homan Sidi
  •  Best Director: Tizza Covi and Rainer Frimmel Vera 
  • Special Jury Prize: Bread and Salt Damien Cukor
  •  Best Actress: Vera Gemma
  •  Best Actor: World War III Mohsen Tanbanda
  •  Best Screenplay: Blanquita by Fernando Jozzoni 
  • Best Short Film: Snow in September by Haggvadolam Purev Usher.

3- Future Lion Awards
  • Luigi de Laurentiis Award for Best Feature Film: Saint Omer Alice Diop
4- Afaq Extra Competition
  • Audience Award for Exodus: directed by Soudade Kaadan
5- The classics of Venice
  • Best Documentary Fragments of Paradise: D.D Davison Best Recovered: Branded to Kill Seijun Suzuki
6- VENICE IMMERSIVE
  • Best Experience: The Man Who Couldn't Leave Chen 
  • Singing Grand Jury Prize: "From the Main Square, Pedro Harris
