American artist Bob Dylan is being pursued in court in New York, following a complaint from a woman accusing him of sexually assaulting her nearly 60 years ago when she was twelve years old.
The complaint, which was filed Friday, alleges that Bob Dylan assaulted the plaintiff, who was identified only by the first letter of her name and nickname Jay. C, during a six-week period between April and May 1965.
The document revealed that the singer “used his fame to give alcohol and drugs to Jay. C and sexually assaulted her several times.”
The complaint also accuses Dylan of threatening the girl, and the amount of compensation requested was not mentioned in it.

The complaint states that some of the abuse occurred in Bob Dylan's apartment in the famous Chelsea Hotel in New York.
The artist's representative said in a statement, "These accusations, which are 56 years old, are false and will be firmly refuted."
The complainant revealed that  Bob Dylan had caused her "serious psychological harm and psychological trauma".
The complaint was filed a day before the deadline in a New York state law that authorizes victims of sexual abuse to prosecute their abusers, regardless of when the acts occurred.

A complainant in the Epstein case last week invoked this law to file a complaint against Prince Andrew, the second son of Queen Elizabeth II, over allegations of sexual abuse.
Bob Dylan, who won the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature in recognition of “the new poetic expressions he has introduced into American singing practices,” is considered the most famous composer and singer. 
Among his most notable works are "Blowin in the Wind", "The Times They Are Changing" and "Like a Rolling Stone".
More than 125 million albums have been sold worldwide by the 80-year-old artist, who rose to prominence in New York in the early 1960s.
In 2016, the Grammy and Oscar-winner was given the Nobel Prize in Literature, becoming the first songwriter to win the prestigious award. He was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012 by then-President Barack Obama.

It seems that sexual assault continues to haunt celebrities.
