Angelina Jolie joins "Instagram" to draw attention to the suffering of Afghans

US actress Angelina Jolie has long been a celebrity with no public presence on social media, but she joined Instagram, using the platform to draw attention to the situation in Afghanistan.

Jolie joined the platform yesterday (Friday), posting a message saying she received from a teenage Afghan girl, whose name and location have been withheld. In the letter, the girl expressed her concern and fear for her life under the Taliban, and wrote, "We are imprisoned again," 

The message stated:"Before the (Taliban) entered we all had rights... We were able to defend our rights freely... but when they arrived, we all felt afraid of them, and we think all our dreams have disappeared."

Jolie, the UN refugee agency's special envoy, wrote in her comment that she plans to share the stories of people around the world who are "struggling for their basic human rights."

 jolie said :"I was on the Afghan border two weeks before 9/11, where I met Afghan refugees who had fled the Taliban," That was twenty years ago. It is disgusting to watch Afghans being displaced again by fear and uncertainty.”"Spending so much time and money, bloodshed and life just for it, is a failure that is almost impossible to fathom," .
Jolie called on all those who are not indifferent to provide all possible assistance to the Afghan people.

The followers in Jolie's page in "Instagram" exceeded 4.4 million people. a few hours after she opened the account.
It seems that Angelina Jolie is preparing to help all the oppressed peoples, not just the Afghan people, through her Instagram account.
