 The political affairs correspondent, Ariel Kahane, added in his report in the newspaper (Israel Today), that “the optical fiber project called “The Blue Cable”, will be the focus of Minister Handel’s announcement with representatives of Google in the next two days, as it consists of 16 pairs of fibers, and will have a capacity It will greatly improve Israel’s digital communication with the outside world.”

 The writer, who relied on high-ranking Israeli sources, explained that “the new fiber-optic project is no less important, similar to the oil pipeline between Ashkelon and Eilat, which connects the Mediterranean and the Gulf of Eilat, and from there it will continue on its way to Saudi Arabia, then the Sultanate of Oman, and up to India later.

Moreover, the writer pointed out that “the extension of this blue cable is expected to last about three years, and it is part of the global Google project, along with the Sparkle project to upgrade the services it provides to the inhabitants of the globe, and to link the two continents of Europe and Asia, and then the This project increases the importance of Israel as a country linking Asia and Europe, knowing that this new project was preceded by a Saudi decision to approve the flight of Israeli aircraft in its airspace.”

According to the “I24NEWS” channel, the “blue cable” will consist of 16 pairs of optical fibers, and will have a huge data transmission capacity, and will greatly improve Israel’s digital communication with the world. Pointing out that “similar to the oil line between Ashkelon and Eilat, The cable will pass by land on Israeli territory from the Mediterranean to the Gulf of Eilat, and from there it will go to Saudi Arabia, then to the Sultanate of Oman and then to India.”
