film Blonde "Marilyn Monroe" as a victim or psychopath !

A few months ago, during the 70th Cannes Film Festival, we watched the premiere of Baz Luhrmann's "Elvis", in which he presented his vision of the life of iconic American singer Elvis Presley. The film was a good audience and critical success, despite the great aura around the character and the difficulty of portraying it on screen.

In recent days, the film “Blonde” directed by Andrew Dominic was shown on the Netflix platform, which deals with the life of another icon, Marilyn Monroe, whose life contains many tragic and mysterious matters as well, and she embodies the character of the Cuban actress Ana de Armas.Along with some of the elite actors Kadrian Brody.

There are different schools for bio-pic films, some films focus on a specific stage of a character's life, such as Joe Wright's "Darkest Hour", and some follow the character's life from childhood or boyhood to the end of her life. “Blonde” belongs to the second type, as we watch the life of the child Norma Jeane, who will later become Marilyn Monroe, until her death, going through many important stages in her life.

The blonde actress was 36 years old when she died, but despite this short stint and a star's shorter stint in the spotlight, her life has always been an interesting subject. The director chooses to introduce us to the tragic side of Monroe's life,

Since her childhood, we know that her father abandoned her, which prompted her mother to permanently abuse her, because she believes that this child is the reason for the father's absence.

This suffering continues later in various forms, both in her emotional relationships, and in her working life. This choice seems a clear line in the film, but the problem is in the distraction that we see while the director tries to go through everything difficult that Monroe has experienced, and even go into some things again and again during the long duration of the film (166 minutes), but we do not find in this repetition a real addition to the viewer.

Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe!

We follow in several scenes of pregnancy and Monroe's repeated miscarriage, and although the director tries to present a different form of miscarriage each time, the matter is not without obvious repetition, especially in the scenes of the operating room.

During these scenes, we find that Marilyn talks in her imagination with her fetus, which began to form inside her womb. This idea seems attractive for some time, especially as we associate it with her childhood crises and her feeling that her parents abandoned her. But this dialogue with the fetus or fetuses appears and disappears infrequently during the events. This repeated appearance and disappearance of certain events or themes, continues in various forms throughout the events of the film, until we gradually lose the sense of a real connection.

On the other hand, we will find some other details that the film passes through in passing and superficially, despite their importance, as if Andrew Dominic did not want to leave anything from Monroe's life without mentioning it. On which a lot can be built, but it is without a trace, it is not the scene that expresses the expressed exploitation of the directors of Monroe in particular, but that this difference in wages prevails in general, and so it cannot be stopped to point only to the fact that it is exploited.

Since the release of the movie trailer, we have been waiting for how Ana de Armas will embody this exciting character. On the formal level, the makeup team has worked hard to make her look like Monroe clearly, so that those who watch the poster will find it difficult at first glance to believe that this is not actually Marilyn.

Away from the outward appearances, de Armas strives to emulate the character, but we will often feel that she is clearly "acting", and that we watch her play the role and not see Marilyn.

Monroe wasn't an actress of immense talent, but she certainly had an irresistible presence. But we will feel that the Cuban actress referenced Monroe's performance in films, speaking almost the same way as the American actress in "Some Like it Hot," with a soft voice and surprising facial expressions.

There may not be many television interviews for Monroe, but from the available interviews with her, it can be seen that there is a clear difference between the way she talks and expressions in her life and the way she performs in films. If we go back to the movie “Elvis”, we will find that although the hero of the movie Austin Butlers is different from Elvis Presley, he was able to give the character a soul, which made her more believable than what de Armas did.

Accompanying this performance is a clear attempt to imbue the late actress with an angelic aura, by portraying all the men who were around her, without exception, exploiting her in one way or another.

The director can certainly be blamed for this, as even beyond Anna de Arms, Andrew Dominic is between clear scenes and silly projections. Such as in the scene of sex with US President Kennedy, which we can say is the worst scenes in the film and combines all its flaws between the strange performance of the actor Casper Phillipson, who introduced the Kennedy character, or the way to portray the sexual relationship, or the use of the scenes shown on television for the UFO attacking His goal is a very superficial indication that Kennedy got what he wanted from the helpless actress. This use of montage may be intentional in reference to how similar scenes are used in older films, but when we see that it is just a scene in the middle of a feature film, we will not succeed in connecting it to the style or general vision of the director.

The movie Blonde won the most applause after its screening at the Venice Film Festival, and Ana de Armas was seen wiping her tears and hugging Adrien Brody, who played Marilyn Monroe's husband in the movie, the second time she cried after her tears also fell at the press conference when she spoke of the fear of presenting this The iconic character.

The idea of you film review!

Anne Hathaway breaks the stereotypical way for couples in her new movie : the idea of you!  It is common knowledge that after adolescence, a man turns to the world of an older woman because it is rich in experiences that he wants to discover and acquire, and to become able to understand a woman and realize what he wants from her. On the other hand, he also wants to benefit from her sexual energy before she enters menopause, as the woman, at this stage, is sexually arousing and emotionally giving, to prove to herself that her attraction has not faded and her passion has not waned. As for a woman, she accepts a man younger than her within the unacceptable age range for various reasons, including that she wants to prove to herself that she is still a female capable of seducing any man, and that her passion has not faded and she still enjoys the sexual ability that provides sexual satisfaction to a young man who is flowing with lust, which makes her feel young. In some cases, she subconsc
